He liked to do outdoor work at his home and was a history buff with a particular interest in military history. He loved traveling with his wife and especially enjoyed cruises. He taught at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He practiced as a pharmacist for 30 years at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Frederick received his Masters Degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He was notably awarded the meritorious service medal upon his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel. Frederick was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was the cherished husband of Betty Lee (Smithson) Wagner, whom he married October 17, 1964. Born Octoin Baltimore he was the son of the late Henry and Alberta (Victor) Wagner.
